The CIA Watched Him Bend Reality With Just His Mind–Then Tried to Turn His Consciousness Into a Weapon
2025-08-09, Popular Mechanics
https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a65932697/cia-psychic-espionage-secr...

In 1972, American artist and psychic Ingo Swann altered the magnetic field inside a thickly shielded vacuum container located underground for several seconds–by simply thinking about it. As Harold Puthoff, a physicist with the Stanford Research Institute, witnessed the output from his magnetometer changing, he was mind-blown. There was no physical explanation for the reading changing the way it did. And as soon as Puthoff asked Swann to stop thinking about the apparatus, the unexplained changes in the magnetic field abruptly stopped. And in the early 1970s ... the U.S. government agreed. By the time Puthoff and his colleague Russel Targ, another physicist at the Stanford Research Institute ... presented their results at an international meeting on quantum physics and parapsychology, the CIA had already begun working with SRI to perform top-secret research on paranormal phenomena–primarily "remote viewing" for intelligence collection. Remote viewing refers to a type of extra-sensorial perception that involves using the mind to "see" or manipulate distant objects, people, events, or other information that are hidden from physical view. By the mid-1980s, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) took the program over, calling it "Stargate." The DIA continued the project until the mid-1990s, when the CIA began declassifying its documents on remote viewing research to facilitate an external review of the project, and the DIA quickly followed suit.

What is it like to die? The reassuring science of near-death experiences
2025-06-07, BBC News
https://www.sciencefocus.com/the-human-body/what-is-it-like-to-die-the-reassu...

It's hard to listen to accounts of people who've had [near-death] experiences and not be moved. Leanda Pringle from Connecticut had a NDE a little over 15 years ago, brought about by a double kidney infection. She experienced floating above her body and felt a sense of being everywhere and nowhere at the same time. "I've no idea how long I was floating in that abyss before I began to feel a presence," she recalls. "As it got closer I began to feel immense bliss. It was beyond anything I had ever felt before in my life. It's very hard to put that feeling into words. It was as if I was intertwined with it, but at the same time it felt as if it was hugging me." Tommy McDowell, a retired army veteran from Texas, spent seven days on a ventilator after suffering multiple organ failure induced by sepsis. During that time, he had a NDE that involved feeling a powerful sense of goodness. "It was a transformational presence of peace, comfort, serenity, love and home," he says. "I was no longer confused. I was no longer alone." He also saw a cloud of crystallised light that invited him towards it. As he entered, "I could feel embedded trauma, regret and loss washing away from my back and shoulders." Reflecting on what happened, Tommy says, "I experienced the presence of God. It was overwhelming and occurred in a way that I just don't have language to fully describe." By now, scientists have collected thousands of similar testimonies from people who have lived through a NDE.

Is death just an illusion? Here's what quantum physics reveals about life, death, and consciousness
2025-05-23, MSN News
https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/world/is-death-just-an-illusion-heres-what-qua...

Einstein once wrote about his friend Michele Besso, "Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us…know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." Could death, as we understand it, be a construct of our consciousness rather than a universal truth? Proposed by Dr. Robert Lanza, a respected stem cell biologist and author, biocentrism is a revolutionary theory suggesting that life and consciousness are not byproducts of the universe, but the very forces that shape it. According to biocentrism: Space and time are not external, objective realities. They are tools of our perception, shaped by conscious observation. Reality does not exist without an observer. Biocentrism places consciousness at the center of the universe. In doing so, it opens the door to reevaluating what death really means–if the self is not simply the body, its "end" might not be defined by physical decay. In the [two-slit experiment]: When unobserved, particles act like waves and pass through both slits simultaneously. When observed, they behave like particles and choose one path. Quantum physics further supports the biocentric view by demonstrating that the universe behaves differently when observed. Quantum entanglement shows that particles can be instantly connected across vast distances–what Einstein called "spooky action at a distance." This challenges our understanding of time and space, and suggests that reality is not locally bound or strictly linear. Redefining death redefines life. If consciousness persists in ways we don't yet understand, every aspect of human society–from science to ethics–will evolve.

Fringe or frontier: Is our current scientific paradigm still the best fit?
2025-05-21, Big Think
https://bigthink.com/mini-philosophy/fringe-or-frontier-is-our-current-scient...

A scientific paradigm is the set of assumptions, principles, and methods that define the science of an era. It's what establishes "normal science" and "fringe" or "pseudo" science. A paradigm needs to be elastic enough to accommodate new scientific discoveries and comprehensive enough to explain most of how the world works. [English biologist Rupert] Sheldrake ... refers to our current scientific paradigm as "mechanistic materialism," which is characterized by three main elements. First, everything can be reduced to some smaller component – tissues are made of cells, which are made of molecules, which are made of atoms. Second, everything in the world is physical or "real." Third, and most importantly, this physical matter is unconscious and purposeless. Sheldrake argues that our current paradigm can no longer ignore two things. First, dark matter and dark energy. As he puts it, "So we've now reached the point where 95% of reality is supposed to be dark matter and energy, about which we know nothing and for which there's not a shred of independent evidence ... Ninety-five percent of reality is nothing like the physics you learned about at school, in physics classes, or that people study at university." Second, is the presence of consciousness. How can consciousness exist in an entirely unconscious paradigm? Sheldrake suggests we need "a larger, more inclusive model of reality, which includes these anomalies" rather than ignoring them. He proposes ... that the so-called "laws of nature" be seen "more like habits, and that they've evolved along with nature," instead of being fixed constants imposed at the moment of the Big Bang. This means shifting .. to "a more holistic approach of seeing things at different levels of organization," and where "consciousness is a fundamental reality," not just "an illusion produced by brain activity." Rather than continuing to "sweep under the carpet 95% of reality," Sheldrake argues for expanding the scope of science to include the study of consciousness, memory in nature, and other excluded phenomena – while remaining grounded in empirical research.

US DoJ and CIA confirm psychics help police solve crimes
2025-05-04, EuroWeekly News
https://euroweeklynews.com/2025/05/04/us-doj-and-cia-confirm-psychics-help-po...

Andre Daigle, 27, went missing on June 9, 1987, after a night of drinks and pool with friends, following which, the New Orleans resident was never seen alive again. Four days later, Andre's sister Elise, who lived out in California, went to psychic Rosemarie Kerr of Cypress with her brother's photo, whose body and killers were found 13 days later thanks to the clairvoyant. In researching the validity of psychics in police work, Euro Weekly News came across a highly surprising and unexpected 5-page US DoJ report published in 1993 entitled "Psychics and Police Work." "The usefulness of psychics in police investigations is controversial, but psychics have long been and will undoubtedly continue to be involved in unsolved criminal investigations," it reads. The Department of Justice document compares the work of psychics and detectives, saying "both base their work on intuition to some extent, and then they specifically mention one psychic who they say helped police in thousands of cases." In an August 2000 CIA document entitled "Use of Psychics in Law Enforcement," the US intelligence agency acknowledged that psychics have been helpful to police in many cases and outlined some guidelines on when and how to deal with them. "Psychics have provided information that was helpful to law enforcement, contributing to the successful resolution of cases," the CIA confirms. "Using psychics can be legitimate when traditional methods fail."

CIA confirmed Ark of the Covenant's existence using remote viewing, resurfaced declassified docs claim
2025-03-26, New York Post
https://nypost.com/2025/03/26/world-news/cia-confirmed-ark-of-the-covenants-e...

The CIA claimed to have confirmed the existence of the Ark of the Covenant by way of remote viewing – aka extra sensory perception or ESP – alleging the mysterious and sacred object is guarded by "entities" with an "unknown" power, a recently resurfaced declassified document claims. When a remote viewer is tasked with searching for a target, the desired object is written down on a piece of paper and put into an envelope. The remote viewer does not know what is written and is guided through the process by another person, retired US Army Chief Warrant Joe McMoneagle explained. McMoneagle, aka remote viewer #1, was the first to do the psychic phenomena experiments for the CIA. Remote viewer #32's vision described a secret Middle Eastern location of the object – which they don't know is the Ark – but they say is "protected by entities," the document reveals. "Target is a container. This container has another container inside of it. The target is fashioned of wood, gold and silver... similar in shape to a coffin and is decorated with seraphim," they relayed, per the file. "The target is protected by entities and can only be opened by those who are authorized to do so – this container will not/cannot be opened until the time is deemed correct," they said. "The purpose of the target is to bring people together. It has something to do with ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection. There is an aspect of spirituality, information, lessons and historical knowledge," they said.

A gruesome murder rocked Northern California. Then came the CIA's psychic army.
2025-02-19, San Francisco Chronicle (San Francisco's Leading Newspaper)
https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/project-stargate-cia-psychic-spies-cal...

In April of 1972, Russell Targ, a Columbia-trained physicist with an unusual interest in the paranormal, met with the Office of Scientific Intelligence, a secretive branch of the CIA that monitored biological warfare, nuclear weapons and guided missiles during the Cold War. Their Soviet enemies, who had likely been experimenting with drugs, hypnotism, yoga and black magic, were now reportedly moving inanimate objects with their minds. From a military standpoint, the implications were horrifying. So the U.S. government brokered a deal: For an initial investment of $874, or just under $7,000 in today's dollars, Targ and his colleague, fellow physicist Harold Puthoff, would test the feasibility of using psychic spies at their Menlo Park lab. The operation, called Stargate, would go on to explore whether ordinary civilians could locate clandestine military facilities across the world using their hidden third eye. According to archived news reports, in total, officials spent $20 million on the secret program. Almost immediately, "curious" data started to emerge: Subjects began describing secret locations thousands of miles away with frightening accuracy. Others reportedly levitated small weights with their minds, while some allegedly controlled temperatures and read information inside sealed envelopes. One man, Patrick Price, who later became known as the SRI's "psychic treasure," was especially prolific. "We want to make it clear," [Targ] told reporters in 1976, "that the functioning is ordinary, rather than extraordinary. It is a regular human capability."

First Direct Image of the Cosmic Web Reveals the Universe's Hidden Highways
2025-02-16, SciTech Daily
https://scitechdaily.com/first-direct-image-of-the-cosmic-web-reveals-the-uni...

Dark matter, which makes up about 85% of all matter in the Universe, plays a crucial role in shaping cosmic structures. Under gravity's influence, it forms a vast, intricate web of filaments. At the intersections of these filaments, the brightest galaxies take shape. This cosmic web serves as the backbone of the Universe, guiding the flow of gas that fuels star formation in galaxies. Studying how this gas moves and interacts could significantly improve our understanding of how galaxies form and evolve. However, directly observing this intergalactic gas is extremely difficult. In [a] new study, an international team led by researchers at the University of Milano-Bicocca and including scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) obtained an unprecedented high-definition image of a cosmic filament using MUSE (Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer), an innovative spectrograph installed on the Very Large Telescope at the European Southern Observatory in Chile. The study, led by Davide Tornotti, PhD student at the University of Milano-Bicocca, used this ultrasensitive data to produce the sharpest image ever obtained of a cosmic filament spanning 3 million light-years and connecting two galaxies, each hosting an active supermassive black hole. The discovery, recently published in Nature Astronomy opens new avenues to directly constrain gas properties within intergalactic filaments and to refine our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution.

The 'Paranormal Writing' Ability of a Gifted Girl Described In a Declassified CIA Document
2025-02-06, The Pulse
https://www.thepulse.one/p/the-paranormal-writing-ability-of

Paranormal abilities do exist. A quote from the Chinese Institute of Atomic Energy pointed out in 1991, in a study archived by the CIA: "Such phenomena and paranormal abilities of the human body are unimaginable for ordinary people. Nevertheless they are really true." In the study ... researchers provide multiple examples of a Qi Gong master who, under double-blind controlled conditions, was able to teleport small objects out of containers from one location to another using nothing but mental influence (breaking through spatial barriers). Multiple test subjects were able to do this including gifted children. A study published in The Chinese Journal of Somatic Sciences ... explains that parapsychological writing is only one form of paranormal abilities displayed by humans, and cites a "large number of experiments" where this type of phenomenon has been demonstrated and documented repeatedly. The study was designed to detect any type of possible "force" that could somehow be measured when gifted people demonstrated their 'paranormal' ability. The first experiment required a girl named "Little Ji" to use her thoughts to "write" or "draw" on the piece of paper located inside of a film canister with a black ink fountain pen. The results were incredible: "We conducted a total of nine experiments, of which three were successful. Each experiment lasted for 15 to 25 minutes. The words and drawings were all black like the ink in the fountain pen used in the experiment. In the three successful experiments, two had clear characters and drawings and the other had fairly blurry circles and dots." In a free, open and transparent society we would be utilizing these concepts and learning more about them. It's no secret that a very conservative mainstream scientific establishment often rejects anomalies based on subject matter alone, yet we have some of the most powerful military institutions around the world studying it for decades.

Note: It estimated that US government use of psychics resulted in 26,000 telepathic campaigns carried out by 227 psychics before 1995. For more along these lines, read our concise summaries of news articles on the mysterious nature of reality.

British woman wakes up from stroke speaking Italian
2024-12-22, The Telegraph (One of the UK's Leading Newspapers)
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/12/22/althia-bryden-stroke-italian-fore...

A British woman has said a stroke left her with an Italian accent and the ability to speak the language, despite having never visited the country. Althia Bryden, 58, was found unresponsive by her husband Winston one evening after suffering a stroke. Mr Bryden described finding his wife "staring and unable to talk" as "terrifying" and said he immediately called an ambulance. The grandmother of two remained in hospital for nine days. On July 30, Mrs Althia was admitted back into hospital for surgery ... and, after three months being unable to speak, awoke with an Italian accent and the ability to say words in the language. It is thought that she has foreign accent syndrome, which is a rare medical condition that causes a person's speech to sound as though they have a foreign accent, even if they have not acquired it. Mrs Althia ... said: "I spent three months after my stroke thinking I'd never be able to talk again... I felt like a shell of the person I once was. "A nurse came to my hospital bed do a routine check and completely out of the blue, I just started speaking. She looked as shocked as I did. "Firstly, I couldn't believe it was me talking, but I also didn't recognise the sound of my voice. To my amazement, I'm also able to speak Italian... a language I've never learnt or spoke ever before. "Without realising, I will say an Italian word mid-conversation, which is the Italian word for what I'm trying to say in English. "I have no idea I'm about to do it – my brain just converts the English word into Italian."

History Can Help Us Understand Organ Transplant Personality Changes, Says Expert
2024-12-19, Science Alert
https://www.sciencealert.com/history-can-help-us-understand-organ-transplant-...

From vegetarians craving meat to changes in sexual preference, some organ transplant patients report changes to their personality reflecting those of the organ donor. A 2024 study claims to challenge "conventional views of memory and identity" by suggesting organs carry memories and emotions and that the findings raise "ethical and philosophical questions" about transplantation. For decades, researchers have studied whether memories and emotions could linger in the heart, and histories of medicine and emotion show why the question is important. In 2010, I wrote Matters of the Heart: History, Medicine, and Emotion, a history of the emotional, physical and spiritual significance of the heart. My research shows that, before the emergence of scientific medicine, the heart was considered the centre of emotion and memory. Memory and emotions are not merely biological phenomena, but driven by environments, experiences and relationships. They, like beliefs about the heart, are informed by cultural contexts. In Thailand or Japan, for instance, there is more pronounced medical interest in the spiritual heart – Japan wouldn't recognise brain death until 1985 for this reason. So, cross-cultural comparisons are needed to understand how far narratives of memory transfer in heart transplantation are universal. One bride-to-be found her father's heart recipient because she wanted him to walk her down the aisle.

A Psychologist Explains ‘Past Life Memories'–And What They Mean
2024-12-08, Forbes
https://www.forbes.com/sites/traversmark/2024/12/08/a-psychologist-explains-p...

A 2021 study published in Explore suggests that past life experiences have been reported across various parts of the world. Children often begin recalling past life memories around the age of 2 and gradually stop discussing them by about 9, when they're well into their schooling years. Many children describe events, names, families or places from their alleged past life. Many also recall violent or unnatural deaths in their previous life, and about 20% participants mention an "intermission" period between lives, with an average gap of 16 months between a previous death and rebirth. Children can also display skills or behaviors they haven't been taught, such as xenoglossy (speaking a language they've never learned). Research on near-death experiences, published in the Journal of Near-Death Studies, also suggests that survivors sometimes experience past-life memories, similar to those that young children in past-life recollection studies recall. Mr. David Moquin ... was in a coma and hospitalized with double pneumonia. "During that time, I experienced at least two events that felt like past lifetimes. The one that has haunted me for the past 24 years was that of burning to death in an airplane crash. Many years later a psychic told me that in my last lifetime I died landing a fighter plane on an odd single digit day in November 1944. I was born December 21, 1944," Moquin explains. "My daughter, hearing the recording of the reading, googled and found that Captain Fryer was the only pilot that died on an odd single digit day that November, and that he died trying to land his burning P-51 Mustang. My favorite plane has always been the P-51. The model sits on my desk. My daughter asked me questions and I seemed to know the names of my wing commander, squadron commander, mother and father."

I was an atheist until a near-death experience made me a believer... here's what I saw
2024-12-04, Daily Mail (One of the UK's Popular Newspapers)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-14153087/atheist-near-death-e...

A former 'true atheist' has come forward to tell his story of the dramatic near-death experience that made him a believer and left him with a 'deep sense of love.' Jose Hernandez, from Canada, said his journey to the other side began with a brutal accident as an electrical engineer tending to roadside power lines. When his colleague crashed their utility truck on January 6, 2000, the then 46-year-old Hernandez was left with multiple broken ribs preventing him from breathing as emergency medical technicians raced him to intensive care. Despite his disbelief in the afterlife, Hernandez said that he spent those moments of deep physical pain seeking help from a higher power. Hernandez said his consciousness was soon transported through a dark otherworldly portal that led to a mysterious transitional realm of living light and color. He spent three minutes clinically dead, came back but fell back into the same state for another two minutes, which he said felt like hours as he watched his lifeless body in the hospital. [A] spirit-like figure [offered] him words of comfort as he transitioned to 'the other side.' 'I heard the voice next to me say 'Think of the your body as a car, and that car has like five million miles on it, and there's nothing we can do to fix it anymore. So you have to now say goodbye to your body,'' he remembered. This realm allowed him to reconcile with his deceased father. 'It was even more amazing because me and my father had a very hard relationship,' Hernandez noted. 'We had a lot of clashes and I don't ever remember saying to my father in life, 'I love you,' or he to me.' But all that changed when they met again in this realm. When I met my dad on the other side,' he told the podcast, 'I realized sometimes we may not be able to say something here, [but] we're gonna be able to say it somewhere else.'

Lucid Dreaming Breakthrough: Startup Claims First-Ever Two-Way Dream Communication
2024-10-08, The Debrief
https://thedebrief.org/lucid-dreaming-breakthrough-startup-claims-first-ever-...

REMspace, a California-based neurotech startup, claims to have achieved the first two-way communication between individuals during lucid dreaming. Using specially designed equipment, participants reportedly exchanged a message while asleep–an extraordinary claim that has yet to be peer-reviewed. This milestone, if validated, could mark a turning point in dream research, with REMspace suggesting applications from mental health therapies to skill training. Lucid dreaming ... is the state of being aware that you are dreaming while asleep. While around 50 percent of people report experiencing at least one lucid dream, the idea of communication within such a state is still in its early stages of research. The REMspace team claims they achieved communication between two participants during a lucid dream on September 24, 2024. Participants received random words generated by a server through earbuds while they were dreaming. One participant reportedly repeated the word in their dream, and the second confirmed it after waking. Looking ahead, they claim to be working on enabling more complex forms of dream communication, including full conversations and interactions with external servers. [REMspace founder Michael] Raduga predicts that within a few years, "dream communication will become common." Until then, the scientific community awaits peer-reviewed evidence to substantiate these intriguing, but currently unverified claims.

"Out-of-Body Experiences" Can Lead to Profound and Lasting Psychological Transformations, New Research Reports
2024-09-10, The Debrief
https://thedebrief.org/out-of-body-experiences-can-lead-to-profound-and-lasti...

A new study from the University of Virginia's School of Medicine says that out-of-body experiences (OBEs), like near-death experiences, can lead to profound psychological transformations, including increases in empathy and emotional connectivity. The findings ... suggest that these altered states of consciousness transform how people connect with others, fostering greater compassion and understanding. In this state, the sense of self becomes less distinct, allowing individuals to feel a deeper connection to the world around them. "We propose that OBEs might engender these profound changes through the process of ego dissolution," researchers explained. "Ego dissolution fosters a sense of unity and interconnectedness with others. These sensations of interconnectedness can persist beyond the experience itself." Researchers report that 55% of individuals who had an out-of-body experience reported that the experience profoundly changed their lives, and 71% described it as having a lasting benefit. The researchers cite numerous personal accounts that illustrate the transformative power of OBEs. One woman described her experience as being surrounded by "100% unconditional love" and feeling deeply connected to everyone and everything around her. "In an instant, I became part of the Universe. I felt connected to everything. Connected to everyone. I was completely surrounded by 100% unconditional love. I did not want to leave!"

NASA astronaut who watched Earth from space for 178 days realized humanity is 'living a lie'
2024-09-04, GOOD Magazine
https://www.good.is/when-nasa-astronaut-realized-a-heartbreaking-lie-after-se...

Former NASA astronaut Ron Garan ... described the striking beauty and stark reality he witnessed from space. "When I looked out the window of the International Space Station, I saw ... dancing curtains of auroras that seemed so close it was as if we could reach out and touch them," he exclaimed. He also noticed something concerning. "I saw the unbelievable thinness of our planet's atmosphere," the astronaut remarked. That "paper-thin" atmosphere is all that stands between humanity and disaster. Garan was troubled by how easily this fact is overshadowed by economic priorities. "I saw an iridescent biosphere teeming with life. I didn't see the economy. But since our human-made systems treat everything, including the very life-support systems of our planet, as the wholly owned subsidiary of the global economy, it's obvious from the vantage point of space that we're living a lie," he said. He shared the concept of the "overview effect," something many astronauts feel after they visit space. "It describes the shift that astronauts have when they see the planet hanging in the blackness of space. There's this light bulb that pops up where they realize how interconnected and interdependent we all are," the astronaut explained. "When we can evolve beyond a two-dimensional us versus them mindset, and embrace the true multi-dimensional reality of the universe that we live in, that's when we're going to no longer be floating in darkness. That's our true calling."

What quantum physics can tell us about nonviolence
2024-08-01, Waging Nonviolence
https://wagingnonviolence.org/metta/podcast/what-quantum-physics-can-tell-us-...

Dr. Amit Goswami [is the] founder of the Center for Quantum Activism and former professor at the University of Oregon. the quantum revolution, which started at the beginning of the last century, has put us in the position of an unfinished revolution, otherwise known as a kind of suspended paradigm shift where the world is shifting from a situation of materialist reductionism, as it's called, where everything is regarded as based on material particles, to a world where everything is based on energy cannot be understood apart from consciousness. And that's important for us because nonviolence does not operate materially. Nonviolence operates spiritually in the domain of consciousness. "Matter is just a possibility in consciousness," [said Gaswami]. "So, consciousness chooses out of the matter waves the actual events that we experience. In the process, consciousness identifies with our brain, the observer's brain. We can talk about nonviolence in a very scientific way. If we are all originating from the same source, if we are ultimately the same consciousness that works through us, then it is complete ignorance to be violent to each other. So, the issue of nonviolence is basically a challenge of transformation. How do we transform using creativity, using the archetype of goodness, bring that into the equation of power, and learn to be nonviolent with each other?" There's a lot of mental violence going on. But the point is that the way we approach it as violence begets more violence. So, it never stops. The answer, of course, is that nonviolence has to grow from inside of us. It has to be an intuition that often happens not just once or twice during the day, but becomes a conviction, a faith that I cannot be violent to my fellow human.

Shortly after the Big Bang, conditions were perfect for life. Did aliens emerge long before us?
2024-06-15, Salon
https://www.salon.com/2024/06/15/shortly-after-the-big-bang-conditions-were-p...

The question of how life first came into existence has exercised scientists and philosophers for millenia. Avi Loeb, director of the Institute for Theory and Computation at the Center for Astrophysics co-operated by Harvard University and the Smithsonian, [said] that with some creative thinking, it might be possible to find evidence that life started far, far earlier than the earliest evidence we have for it on Earth. "I would say one hundred million years after the Big Bang, there were pockets of enriched material that could have led to planets and life as we know it, potentially," Loeb said. Loeb cited the Dragonfly mission, currently scheduled by NASA to launch in 2028 to explore Saturn's largest moon, Titan (as well as Enceladus, which is Saturn's sixth-largest moon, another candidate for life in our solar system is Jupiter's moon, Europa). Loeb describes the Dragonfly mission as a fishing expedition. Literally: looking for alien fish. "You go there and you look for fish, and if there is something moving and alive, that would be amazing," Loeb said. "Because not only would we realize that life exists elsewhere, but also that it could take very different forms. Of course, I would not recommend putting these fish in restaurants on Earth and eating them, because it might not be good for our stomachs. But you can imagine – I mean, we just don't understand how life emerged on Earth with its complexity and definitely not in other liquids."

In 1972, American artist and psychic Ingo Swann altered the magnetic field inside a thickly shielded vacuum container located underground. As Harold Puthoff, a physicist with the Stanford Research Institute, witnessed the output from his magnetometer changing, he was mind-blown. By the time Puthoff and his colleague Russel Targ ... presented their results at an international meeting on quantum physics and parapsychology, the CIA had already begun working with SRI to perform top-secret research on paranormal phenomena–primarily "remote viewing" for intelligence collection. Remote viewing refers to a type of extra-sensorial perception that involves using the mind to "see" or manipulate distant objects, people, events, or other information. By the mid-1980s, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) took the program over, calling it "Stargate." DIA had three main goals for its research: 1. Determine how to apply remote viewing to intelligence gathering against foreign targets; 2. Figure out how other countries could be doing the same thing and using it against the U.S.; and 3. Perform laboratory experiments to find ways to improve remote viewing for use in the intelligence field. [Scientist Dean Radin] remembers asking one of his supervisors what would happen if they had a breakthrough–say, coming up with a drug to make someone super psychic. The response was immediate. "It would disappear and you would never be able to talk about it again," Radin recalls."

Hidden UFO civilization could be on Earth: Harvard researchers

An unidentified, technologically advanced population could be living secretly on Earth. That startling claim was made in a new paper by researchers at Harvard and Montana Technological University. They speculate that "unidentified anomalous phenomena" (UAP), another term for UFOs, could be living underground, on the moon or even walking among humans. The paper posits the possibility of "cryptoterrestrials" as an explanation for unidentified and unexplainable observations made worldwide each year. Here are the theories proposed in the paper: A "remnant form" of ancient civilization remains on Earth; An intelligent species evolved separately from humans and now stays hidden; Cryptoterrestrials traveled from another time period or planet; The unidentified creatures are of supernatural origin, likened to "earthbound angels." The paper also suggests the idea of cryptoterrestrials living in or under sighting hotspots such as lakes and volcanoes. The researchers propose the influx of sightings in similar areas is due to entry/exit points for hidden societies deep in the Earth. Other possibilities for cryptoterrestrial settlements lie nearby, like on the moon. The paper delves into the government's response to sightings, adding that many believers feel federal agencies are "deliberately downplaying the topic or at least obfuscating the extraordinary nature of many UAP-related events."
